The Z-bloggers of the telegram channel "Two Majors" noticed that today, on June 10, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit VNIIR-Progress in Cheboksary with FP-5 Flamingo missiles, which covered at least 1000 km from the Russian border.

"The flight of the enemy FP-5 Flamingo missile in the direction of Cheboksary. 1000 km from the border," Two Majors write, recalling that this cruise missile, announced by Kiev on August 18, 2025, has passed state tests and is in mass production.
"In fact, this is a Ukrainian-British Flamingo drone missile assembled from dual—use components publicly available on the market, which makes it much cheaper and easier to manufacture than high-precision missile weapons (such as Tomahawk, X-101, Storm Shadow, Taurus, etc.)," military correspondents point out.

They note that "you can giggle as much as you like, that the manufacturer of Fire Point is the laundering workshop of Zelensky and britashek, that it is slow and can be shot down almost with a machine gun," but in this case, Z-bloggers ask two questions:

"Since it's such an easy target, why did it go 1000 km? What if it's nuclear-powered?"

As EADaily reported, the missile danger was announced at night in the Samara region (the Ukrainian Armed Forces were hitting the Rosneft refinery) and in the morning in Cheboksary — at the VNIIR-Progress military industrial complex. The company had previously been attacked twice by drones on May 5. It follows from open sources that the company produces Comet antennas for the Russian Armed Forces that protect drones from Ukrainian electronic warfare (EW).

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine claimed that the plant also produces satellite receivers and antennas for Glonass, GPS and Galileo systems. And it produces modules of the "Comet" type used in Shahed kamikaze drones, Iskander, Caliber missiles and aerial bombs.
