Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Armenia can get gas through transit along the "Trump Route." He stated this at a pre-election rally in Abovyan.
We are talking about the TRIPP project — "Trump's Route for international Peace and Prosperity."
"TRIPP will open soon. A gas pipeline will also pass through the territory of our country. Due to this transit, we will have our own gas, and we will be paid for this transit with gas, we will develop alternative energy," Pashinyan said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Recall, the "Trump Route" involves unblocking the transport link between "greater" Azerbaijan and its exclave — Nakhichevan Autonomy through the territory of Armenia. As Pashinyan stated last August, it concerns potential oil and gas pipelines, power transmission lines and Internet cables, as well as the railway between Yerevan and Baku is on the railway line bordering Iran.
As EADaily reported, Armenia is not afraid of rising commodity prices in the event of a deterioration in ties with Russia, as it intends to get rich by turning the country into a "crossroads of the world." This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to voters at a pre-election meeting in the city of Garni.
