The former Georgian leader and ex-governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili appeared before the public in a completely new role. Pictures of his recent appearance in court were distributed by the Telegram channel "Paragraph". The photos show that the conclusion seriously affected the appearance of the politician.
Saakashvili, who was appointed head of the Odessa region in 2015, and before that he led Georgia for two consecutive terms (from 2004 to 2013), now sports a long forelock on his head. For the meeting, he chose a white shirt with red embroidery, very reminiscent of traditional Ukrainian embroidery. Such an image contrasts sharply with his former impeccably shaved and fit appearance, which was remembered by many during the "rose Revolution" and the Odessa period.
Observers note that the years spent in a Georgian prison, where the politician repeatedly complained of ill-treatment and torture, literally changed him beyond recognition. Nevertheless, Saakashvili continues to actively participate in court sessions, using every appearance in public to draw attention to his person and the conditions of detention.
