The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany considered "completely unjustified" the call of the German Ambassador Alexander Lambsdorf to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation,"who was declared a "strong protest" because of the meeting of Bundestag deputy Roderich Kiesewetter (CDU) with the head of the banned terrorist organization "Chechen Republic of Ichkeria" Ahmed Zakayev. This was stated to journalists by a representative of the German Foreign Ministry.

"I regard this, first of all, as a completely unjustified measure," she said, calling the "groundless and unfounded accusations made by the Russian side."

At the same time, the diplomat did not answer the question about the possible summoning of the Russian ambassador to the German Foreign Ministry.

As EADaily reported, the Russian Foreign Ministry earlier stressed that Berlin's hostile steps would be duly rebuffed. Moscow regards the meeting of the deputy of the German parliament "with notorious criminals as indisputable proof of the German authorities' focus on interfering in internal affairs and creating threats to Russia's national security, including through interaction with terrorist structures under the auspices of the Kiev criminal regime."
