The Hunter strike reconnaissance heavy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter is already in the phase of active testing of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Therefore, as Izvestia informs, the guided drone will soon be able to participate directly in combat operations.
The tactic of joint use of leading fighters and winged UAVs has become increasingly popular and justified in recent years. At the same time, drones take on the most risky and dangerous tasks, increasing the survival rate of the aircraft with the crew.
According to the source, the Hunter can "carry modern air weapons — from conventional to adjustable bombs, cruise missiles, and in the long run, aeroballistic missiles," redistributing tasks. Direct entry into service should take place in the coming years.
EADaily previously also informed that the technologically advanced Japanese will pay London for a new type of fighter.
