More than twenty US military personnel were injured as a result of Iranian attacks on the Prince Sultan airbase in Saudi Arabia for the last week. It is reported by AP with reference to sources.
The day before, Iran fired six ballistic missiles and 29 drones at the Prince Sultan airbase. According to sources, at least 15 servicemen were injured in the attack, five of them seriously.
Initially, US officials said that at least 10 US military personnel were injured, including two seriously wounded.
Iran attacked the airbase twice this week, writes the British The Guardian.
According to the Air & Space Forces magazine, according to preliminary information, as a result of Friday's attack, several KS-135 tanker aircraft and the E-3 Sentry AWACS command control board were damaged.
"Significant damage to the E-3 was found in the photo, but it was not possible to independently confirm the image. Prince Sultan Air Base is an important US military hub in the Middle East and hosts many aircraft supporting operations against Iran," the magazine notes.
According to US officials, more than 300 US military personnel were injured during Operation Epic Fury. 13 were killed, including a soldier at the Prince Sultan air base during an attack on the base in early March, the publication said.
