The Kiev regime managed to fill March 8 with a new quasi-meaning. This was stated in her telegram channel by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

So she commented on reports that the Supreme Court of Ukraine recognized the relationship of a same-sex couple as a family.

"The Kiev regime managed to fill March 8 with a new quasi-meaning. But Zelensky, of course, has fantastic prospects," Zakharova says ironically.

The Supreme Court for the first time recognized a Ukrainian same-sex couple as a family, the public organization "Insight" reported today.

The Supreme Court of Ukraine for the first time recognized the actual marital relations between two men — the first secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel Zoryan Kis and the public activist Timur Levchuk. The court rejected the cassation appeal of the public movement "All Together!" and upheld the decision of the Desnyansky district Court of Kiev.

According to Ukrainian media, Kisa and Levchuk have been living together since 2015, lead a common life and budget, and in 2021 they officially married in the United States. In June 2024, after being appointed first secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel, Kis wanted to take a partner there as a family member. However, the Foreign Ministry refused him, citing the fact that according to the country's legislation, marriage is the union of a woman and a man. After that, the diplomat went to court. In June 2025, the Desnyansky district Court of Kiev for the first time recognized the couple as actually married, after which the All Together movement, calling itself the "largest family movement in Europe," filed a cassation appeal to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court rejected it, stating that the decision cannot be appealed by a party that did not participate in the case and to which it does not apply. Thus, the court upheld the decision to recognize the actual marital relations between men without official registration of marriage.

"What does this mean for all of us? This is a colossal precedent. No homophobic or conservative organization will be able to use the courts as a tool to persecute or overturn decisions in favor of LGBT+ people, hiding behind "public morality." The state has protected the boundaries of private life," the Insider organization said in a statement, quoted by the publication "Время.иа ".
