NATO minesweepers forgot something at the Nord Streams

While the main NATO forces are conducting Steadfast Dart 26 exercises, the minesweepers of the North Atlantic Alliance turned out to be at the Nord Streams in the Baltic Sea. The anti-mine group SNMCMG1 is located at gas pipelines that have survived one line for more than a day. According to one version, the explosives on the Nord Streams were installed during NATO exercises in the summer of 2022.

The minesweepers of Germany, the Netherlands and Poland have been at the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea for more than a day. According to AIS vessels, minesweepers Fulda, Schiedam and Kontradmiral Xawery Czernicki are operating northeast of the Danish island of Bornholm. The Nord Stream gas pipelines run in parallel in that area and, judging by the route of the ships, the Dutch minesweeper Schiedam conducted surveys over the gas pipeline lines. The damaged areas are located further west — closer to the island of Bornholm.

The minesweepers have been in the area of the "Northern Streams" for more than a day and, judging by the maneuvering, are exploring the bottom.

It is known that all the ships are now part of the mine action group SNMCMG1 and started working together at the end of January.

"In addition to the search for ammunition, SNMCMG1 is also involved in Baltic Sentry. This NATO operation protects pipelines and submarine cables in the Baltic Sea from sabotage. The task Force also conducts training at sea to maintain combat readiness and combat capability," wrote the Dutch edition of SWZ Maritime, when the minesweeper Schiedam joined the group in January.

On September 26, explosions occurred on the Nord Streams. Of the four strands of gas pipelines, three were damaged. The Nord Stream—2 line can operate and supply gas from Russia to Germany.

The Western media is actively exaggerating the version of the participation of Ukrainian saboteurs in the undermining of the Nord Streams. At the same time, Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh published an investigation and wrote that the explosives on the gas pipelines were installed during the NATO summer exercises, and were activated with the help of radio beacons that were dropped from an airplane. The journalist stated with reference to the special services that the initiator and organizer were the United States, which attracted the military from Norway.
