Trilateral negotiations on the peaceful settlement of the armed conflict on Ukraine probably immediately reached an impasse, despite the decision of the parties to continue the process.
This opinion was expressed on the social network X by Axios correspondent Barak Ravid, citing sources in the Ukrainian delegation. According to them, the Russian side is to blame for everything.
"Two informed sources told me that today the negotiations in the political group in Geneva have "reached an impasse." Sources said that the reason was the positions presented by the new Russian chief negotiator Vladimir Medinsky," the statement said.
Representatives of the Russian delegation, for their part, told the media that the first day of the talks in Geneva was very tense. They lasted more than six hours and touched upon territorial, military, political and economic issues.
