US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said what the "bad news" is about the talks in Abu Dhabi on Ukraine.
"I don't want to say that negotiations alone are progress, but it's good that there is interaction," Rubio said at a conference at the US State Department.
According to him, many "delicate moments" are being discussed now, the details will be known when it is possible to achieve a breakthrough. According to Rubio, "real progress" was achieved at the talks, since the list of unresolved issues in the context of reaching a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia was significantly reduced.
"This is good news. The bad news is that the most difficult questions remain," Rubio said.
As reported by EADaily, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, who heads the Ukrainian delegation at the talks in Abu Dhabi, said that the second round, held on February 4, was "meaningful and productive." According to Umerov, the work was focused "on concrete steps and practical solutions."
The first round of negotiations of the trilateral working group on security issues with the participation of representatives of Russia, the United States and Ukraine was held on January 23-24 in Abu Dhabi in a closed format.
