France has released a recording of a telephone conversation between US President Donald Trump and the head of the Kiev regime of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, on May 10, 2025, France TV reports.
The conversation took place on the day when French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in Kyiv.
In the footage, the French president calls the head of the United States and apologizes for the early call. Then Macron proposes to organize a joint conversation with the President of Ukraine, the Prime Minister of Great Britain and the German Chancellor. In response, the American leader clarifies what happened. Macron explains that Zelensky agreed to the 30-day ceasefire proposed by the White House.
This is not the first time the French have made public the leaders' negotiations, somehow they leaked Macron's talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Voice of Mordor telegram channel reminds about this. And I doubt something, the author of the channel emphasizes, that this time the recording was published with Trump's permission.
"But it's even funnier — Macron set himself up, because the conversation completely refutes all the public statements of the Europeans and Zelensky made after him," the report says.
