The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, expects Russian President Vladimir Putin to reject the 20-point Ukrainian plan, after which the United States will increase pressure on Russia. This is reported by the Financial Times newspaper, citing sources.
As Zelensky himself stated during a telephone conversation with European leaders, which took place the day before, he would like the United States to switch attention and increase pressure on Russia, the newspaper writes, because Putin will not give up his demands.
Zelensky also said that at today's meeting in Florida with US President Donald Trump he would raise issues of stable financing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, support for the Ukrainian air defense, as well as the presence of the European military contingent on Ukraine.
According to FT sources, Zelensky said that Kiev could agree to the transfer of territories to Russia only if the referendum was held in peaceful and safe conditions.
He also advocated the transfer of the Zaporozhye NPP under international control, and proposed distributing the electricity generated by it on both sides of the contact line, the Strana newspaper writes.
