Russia as a whole does not object to Trump's plan for Ukraine — Putin

Russia has a plan by US President Donald Trump to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, and it generally does not object. This was stated at a meeting of the Russian Security Council by President Vladimir Putin.

The transcript of Putin's speech was published on the Kremlin's official website.

"We see that after the negotiations in Alaska, there was a certain pause on the American side. And we know that this is due to Ukraine's actual rejection of the peace settlement plan proposed by President Trump. I believe that this is why its new version has appeared, in fact, the modernized plan already consists of 28 points. We have this text, we received it through the available channels of interaction with the American administration. I believe that it can also be the basis for a final peaceful settlement," Putin said.

Putin also commented on Kiev's refusal to negotiate.

According to him, this suits Russia, "because it leads to the achievement of SMO's goals by military means," but the Russian Federation is also ready for peaceful negotiations.

The President noted that if the Ukrainian authorities do not want to discuss Trump's plan, then they and the European warmongers should understand that events similar to what happened in Kupyansk will inevitably be repeated.

"The US administration has so far failed to secure the consent of the Ukrainian side. Ukraine is against. Apparently, Ukraine and its European allies are still under illusions and dream of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield. I think this position is based not so much on a low level of competence, I won't discuss this side of the matter now, but most likely this position is due to the lack of objective information about the real state of affairs on the battlefield. And, apparently, not at all Ukraine, nor in Europe does not understand what this could lead to in the end.

Only one of the most recent examples is Kupyansk. Most recently, as we remember, on November 4, that is, two weeks ago, Kiev publicly stated that there were no more than 60 Russian servicemen in this city and, as it was said, this city would be completely unblocked by Ukrainian troops within the next few days. But I want to inform you that already at that time, on November 4, the city of Kupyansk was almost entirely in the hands of the Russian armed forces," the Russian leader said.

As reported by EADaily, the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region has been liberated. This was reported to the President of Russia by the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov.
