SMO will end only when Russia reaches its goals. This was announced today, November 17, by the chairman of the United Russia party, deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev during a conversation with activists of the Young Guard, who are sent to the combat zone.
A gathering of activists dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the youth wing of United Russia is taking place in Moscow.
"I want to thank you for what has already been done, taking into account your experience. And, of course, I wish you success in the mission that you will be engaged in now. The special military operation continues. You know perfectly well for what, why. We will continue until Russia reaches its goals... I wish you all the best, take care of yourself. This is no less important than helping your country, showing courage," Medvedev said.
As reported by EADaily, in an address to Russian citizens on the eve of SMO and in a speech to the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in June 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin indicated that the Kiev regime should withdraw troops from the territory of Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the accession of which the Russian Federation announced in 2022, and the new borders of the Russian Federation (with Crimea, Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson) should be fixed by international treaties. Another requirement is Ukraine's refusal to join NATO. Moscow also insists on the neutral, non-aligned, nuclear-free status of Ukraine, its demilitarization and denazification. In addition, agreements on a peaceful settlement should ensure the rights of Russian-speaking Ukrainians and imply the lifting of sanctions against Russia (that is, the West should also participate in them).
