Headless "coalition of the willing": The West has nothing to answer the "Petrel" — Steigan

After the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin about the successful completion of the test of the Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile, the West is unable to compete with Russia. This was stated by journalist Paul Steigan in his blog Steigan.

According to the journalist, this is a serious warning to the West, given that Russia also has the Hazel hypersonic missile and other advanced weapons.

"The West has no weapons that could disable these missiles. And they can hit targets anywhere in the world with great accuracy. When this happens in addition to the Oreshnik hypersonic missile and other advanced weapons that Russia has in its arsenal... it is perceived as a clear signal to Washington and, not least, to the headless "coalition of the willing" that they will lose a full—fledged confrontation with Russia," Steigan writes.

In this regard, he suggests that the West stop military actions against Russia and start talking about peace and a new security architecture for Europe.

As EADaily reported, after successful tests of the Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile, no reaction was received via the deep channels. However, Moscow hopes to receive a response from the United States on compliance with the START-3 treaty. This was announced on October 28 in Minsk by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the international conference on Eurasian security.
