The Russian armed forces are moving forward "very carefully" in the zone of a special military operation in order to minimize losses. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov in an interview with RBC.
"The President has repeatedly said that we are moving forward very carefully to minimize losses. We are moving forward very carefully so as not to undermine our offensive potential," the Kremlin spokesman said.
He noted that "these are very thoughtful actions," which "it is better to stretch over time than to rush, to try to time some victories to something, but at the same time increase the number of dead."
As Peskov stressed, the Russian Federation must win this fateful war for the sake of its future and children.:
"There is a war going on. Yes, SMO is one thing, but what is happening around us is war. Now is the most acute stage of the war, it is quite fateful. We need to win it for the sake of our children, our grandchildren, for the sake of its future."
The Kremlin spokesman confirmed the readiness of the head of state Vladimir Putin to meet with Vladimir Zelensky:
"Putin has clearly outlined his position. Putin said he was ready for the meeting. Putin, however, clarified that it makes sense to meet after the parties have done their "homework", when preparations are made at the expert level. To meet without preparation is, rather, a PR campaign, doomed, rather, to failure."
