Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in an extraordinary virtual BRICS summit convened by Brazil on Monday, September 8.
His press secretary Dmitry Peskov told about the relevant plans of the head of state in an interview with RIA Novosti at the Eastern Economic Forum.
Earlier, the media reported that Brazil, at the initiative of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, will hold an extraordinary virtual summit of the BRICS member countries on September 8 to discuss the trade policy of the American leader Donald Trump.
According to Peskov, Brazil, which is under economic pressure today, uses all possible mechanisms, including BRICS, to exchange views on the US tariff wars and develop common approaches.
