India has again blocked Azerbaijan's application to join the SCO, AnewZ reports.
"China has confirmed its support for Azerbaijan's application to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as a full member. On the contrary, officials familiar with the matter told AnewZ that India's decision to obstruct the process is contrary to the principles of multilateral diplomacy and the "Shanghai spirit," which stipulate that bilateral disputes should not be referred to multilateral consideration," the publication says.
The publication also notes that Pakistan agreed with Baku on the eve of the intention to consider the establishment of diplomatic relations with Armenia as part of the peace agenda.
Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, during a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif in the Chinese city of Tianjin, said that in response to the support provided by Azerbaijan to Pakistan, India is trying to take revenge on Azerbaijan in international organizations. According to Aliyev, this "does not matter to us at all," since "fraternal relations are above all."
