The explosion at the hotel where the French president stayed on Tuesday was organized by the militants of the Islamic State❶. This was announced today, July 10, by a representative of the Syrian Interior Ministry to Al Ikhbariya TV channel.
One of the terrorists was identified by surveillance cameras, and then the rest of the suspects were identified. IEDs exploded when sappers tried to neutralize them. One was placed in a garbage can, the other in a parked car, the Syrian Interior Ministry said.
As a result, one person was killed and 36 injured. Among the victims is the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Syria.
Explosions thundered near the hotel where French President Emmanuel Macron stayed on July 7, but his motorcade left the residence shortly before the incident, so the French leader was not injured.
