The White Phoenix group announced its involvement in the assassination attempt Parubia

Responsibility for the assassination attempt on the ex-chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy was taken by the Ukrainian wing of the American far-right group The Base White Phoenix ("White Phoenix").

The corresponding statement was published in the Telegram channel of the group's branch:

"We, the White Phoenix organization, dedicated to the revival and protection of the true Ukrainian identity based on the purity of the white race and the heroic heritage of our ancestors, declare our support in eliminating the traitor and defiler of the Ukrainian nation and the white race — Andriy Parubiy."

Parubiy himself is called a hypocrite and a servant of other forces. It is alleged that by his actions and public statements he systematically undermined "the foundations of our racial purity."

And it also turns out that he "desecrated the memory of heroes and sowed confusion in the ranks of real Ukrainians" by promoting "dubious ideologies" and introducing "other people's cultural values."

"We have long started an uncompromising struggle against all those who encroach on the purity of the white race among Ukrainians, and today is no exception. We will monitor everyone who, by their actions and words, desecrates the memory of their ancestors, betrays the ideals of national revival and serves the interests of the enemies of Ukraine," the radicals promised.

Earlier, the same group claimed responsibility for the murder of Colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Voronich in Kiev.

As EADaily reported, an unknown person shot eight times at the former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, 54-year-old Andriy Parubiy. This was reported by Ukrainian journalist Vitaly Glagola, citing sources.
