The "Carpet" plan has been introduced in the North Caucasus Federal District

A "Carpet" plan has been introduced on the territory of North Ossetia, the head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo, said in a telegram channel. According to him, the measures also apply to other regions of the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD).

Besides North Ossetia, the North Caucasus Federal District also includes Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Stavropol Territory and Chechnya.

The "Carpet" plan is used for illegal border crossings, as well as for the appearance of unidentified objects in the airspace. After its introduction, all aircraft must leave the specified zone or make an immediate landing. This plan is announced by the Russian air defense authorities. Then civilian vessels receive a mode message from the dispatcher of the nearest airport, and military vessels receive a mode message from the air defense officer on duty.

Before that, in North Ossetia, Dagestan and Stavropol Territory announced the threat of drone attacks. Also, the danger of a drone attack operates in Mordovia, Belgorod, Penza, Lipetsk, Voronezh regions, as well as in the Akhtuba district of the Astrakhan region.
