At the University of Warsaw today, July 2, an attack was carried out on the fugitive zmagar from Belarus Pavel Latushko.
However, as it turns out, "attack" is a big word. During the Warsaw Eastern European Conference, a young man threw in Latushko garbage can. Zmagar himself described the "assassination attempt" in this way:
"I have just been attacked during a solemn meeting in the presence of representatives of the Polish authorities — Mieszko Pawlak, Marek Kuhczynski, as well as the vice—rector and representatives of the University of Warsaw and the diplomatic corps - the Czech Ambassador to Poland and diplomats from Georgia. The attacker threw an object at me and shouted to the whole hall that I was "a traitor and I want to burn the whole opposition," repeating Lukashenka's lies yesterday. He is currently detained by the police. In recent days, I have received several threats to my life and health, kidnappings and murders, including the last one this morning."
The attacker turned out to be a 33-year-old Belarusian who came to Poland under a program for young scientists.
