Victoria Oleinikova, the daughter of the founder of the group "Combination" Alexander Shishinin, filed a lawsuit with the Moscow Arbitration Court against the copyright holders of the collective's songs.
In particular, the lawsuit was filed against the RAO (Russian Authors' Society), the Jam publishing house and the composer Vitaly Okorokov, RIA Novosti clarifies.
According to the license agreement, which was concluded with the composer Okorokov, the publishing house owns the copyright to musical and literary works, the soundtrack of the song American boy, as well as other compositions. At the same time, Oleinikova herself also inherited exclusive rights to the results of his intellectual activity from Shishinin, the documents say.
The essence of Oleinikova's demands is not disclosed in detail in the materials, the court session is scheduled for September 18.
Alexander Shishinin founded the Combination group in 1988 and later served as its director. In March 1993, Shishinin was killed in the entrance of his own house. The murder still remains unsolved.
