The deputy of the Japanese parliament Muneo Suzuki criticized Vladimir Zelensky for his statements about the composition of the Russian delegation. This is reported by TASS with reference to the parliamentarian's blog.
"Compared to President Zelensky, who has no political or diplomatic experience and who, as if by mistake, won the election simply because he starred in a film that by chance turned out to be a hit, after which his entourage invited him to participate in the elections, the Russian delegation consists of professionals in their fields," — Suzuki wrote.
The DEPUTY flatteringly spoke to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Galuzin, who in the past was the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Japan.
According to the parliamentarian, Zelensky's words about the Russian delegation may indicate that he does not seek to reach a ceasefire agreement. At the same time, Suzuki expressed optimism about the possibility of continuing negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, which can lead to the establishment of peace.
May 16 in Negotiations were held in Istanbul between representatives of Russia and Ukraine.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on the exchange of prisoners on the principle of "1,000 to 1,000." It was also decided to work out in detail the vision of a possible ceasefire and continue the discussion.
Vladimir Medinsky, head of the Russian delegation and assistant to the President, expressed satisfaction with the results of the meeting. He also noted that Ukraine had requested direct talks between the leaders of the two countries, and Russia took note of this appeal.
