The Kremlin hosted talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Special Envoy of the US President Steven Witkoff. This was reported by the press service of the head of state
"The Kremlin hosted a meeting between the President of Russia and the Special Envoy of the President of the United States of America, Steven Witkoff," the statement said.
At the moment, no other details are reported.
According to TASS, Putin and Witkoff began the meeting with a brief exchange of greetings in English.
"How are you, Mr. President?" asked Witkoff, entering the office.
"Great, thanks! And how are you doing?" — Putin replied and extended his palm to the guest for a handshake.
"I am very glad to see you!" added the special envoy of the American president.
After that, he and Putin went to the table for a conversation.
On the Russian side, Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov and CEO of RDIF, Special Presidential Representative for Investment and economic Cooperation with foreign countries Kirill Dmitriev took part in the negotiations.
