In Berlin, local police detained a terrorist whose hands were still covered in blood. The detainee is suspected of attacking people with a knife.

According to the Bild newspaper, the attack occurred on February 21 at about 18:00 between the US Embassy and the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin's Mitte district.

The object of the attack was a 30-year-old tourist from Spain, who was stabbed by a criminal. The police reported that the victim was urgently operated on, his condition is stable.

The attacker fled for a short time, but by 21:00 the police detained the suspect. It turned out to be a 19-year-old refugee and asylum seeker from A Syrian named Wassim al M.

The guards detained him with bloody hands, and a knife stained with blood was also found with him. According to investigators, the crime was "politically motivated."

The place of residence of the criminal is a hostel for refugees in Leipzig. Currently, the police are conducting searches there.

Earlier, EADaily reported that in Ingushetia, FSB officers stopped the activities of two terrorists who studied at one of the religious extremist educational institutions in Egypt.
