Russian military aircraft flew over the territory of Poland

The Russian Su-24MR military aircraft flew over the territorial waters of Poland for one minute and 12 seconds, the press service of the operational command of the Polish armed forces reported on the social network X.

She clarified that the Russian side confirmed the fact of violation of airspace, stressing that the aircraft's navigation system had failed.

"We inform you that on February 11, 2025 at 14.09 (16.09 Moscow time) in the eastern part of the Gdansk Bay there was a violation of airspace over the territorial waters of Poland by the Su-24MR aircraft of the Russian Armed Forces," the department said.

The military clarified that the plane was flying from the Kaliningrad region and entered the territory of Poland at a maximum depth of 6.5 km. The aircraft was noticed by the radar systems of the state.

The plane changed course immediately after the navigator of the Russian armed Forces contacted the pilot, RBC said.
