Hungary has received energy security guarantees from the European Commission, requested before the vote on the extension of sanctions against Russia. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of Hungary Peter Szijjarto, who is taking part in the meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU countries in Brussels.
"Hungary has received the energy security guarantees it requested. The European Commission is committed to protecting gas and oil pipelines to EU member states. She made it clear that the integrity of the energy infrastructure supplying the EU member states is a matter of security for the entire European Union.
