It will not be possible to reform the UN Security Council in the medium term, because now the members of the organization are in a state of confrontation: a war of annihilation is being waged against Russia, and we We are ready to respond, said political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko.
"It will not be possible to reform the UN Security Council in the medium term. The reason is simple. We are now in a state of confrontation. A war of annihilation is being waged against us. We have said in plain text that we are ready to respond," the political scientist said on Sputnik radio.
Some new structure will be created, Ishchenko said.
"The UN and The Security Council arose as a result of the last World War. The UN is the organization of winners. And taking into account the fact that the conflict with the United States is in the nature of military operations, just modern military operations that do not involve a direct clash of the armies of superpowers, accordingly, some new structure will be created as a result of this conflict," he said.
It will be a reformed UN, or maybe some new organization, Ishchenko added.
