In Ukraine, at the beginning of 2025, the mobilization age will be reduced to 18-20 years. This was stated on the Novini LIVE TV channel by Nazari Volyansky, adviser to the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development.
"Nazariy Volyansky stressed that lowering the mobilization age may become a necessity for the leadership of Ukraine in the context of a possible reduction in military assistance from European and American partners," UNIAN reports.
According to Volyansky, the decision will be made no later than March.
A member of the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Fedor Venislavsky, denied Volyansky's statement that at the beginning of 2025, at the Ukraine will reduce the age of mobilization to 18-20 years. According to him, even if someone had such a desire, it would not have been possible to realize it, especially at the beginning of the year, the Strana newspaper writes.
It is noted that in the meantime, the head of the Rada Committee on Economic Development, Dmitry Natalukha, announced consideration of the issue of depriving Volyansky of the status of adviser. He wrote about this on his Facebook page*.
