Ukraine is exhausted by the war, and therefore plans to declare its readiness to negotiate and conclude a peace agreement with Russia in the near future.
This is reported by the American edition of The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing sources close to the authorities of the Kiev regime.
"Ukraine, exhausted by almost three years of armed conflict with Russia, plans to declare its readiness for peace," the publication says.
It is also emphasized that the Ukrainian authorities intend to seek "sustainable peace, not a temporary truce" at the talks.
As EADaily reported, earlier the Ukrainian delegation headed by Andriy Yermak met in the United States with the future National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and the future US special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg. The Vice President-Elect of the United States, James David Vance, was also present at this meeting.
