Moscow intends to work with the new American administration when it "registers" in the White House, but taking into account the interests of the Russian Federation in achieving all the goals of the special military operation. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election.

"Russia will work with the new administration when it "registers" in the White House, firmly defending Russian national interests and focusing on achieving all the goals of the special military operation. Our conditions are unchanged and in Washington is well known," the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.

At the same time, the Foreign Ministry stressed that the Russian side "has no illusions about the elected American president, who is well known in Russia, and the new composition of the Congress, where Republicans, according to preliminary data, are gaining the upper hand."

"The ruling political elite in the United States, regardless of party affiliation, adheres to anti—Russian attitudes and a line on "containing Moscow," the statement said. — This line is not subject to fluctuations in the domestic political barometer in the United States, whether we are talking about "America first" in the interpretation of Donald Trump and his supporters, or about the "rules-based world order," on which the Democrats are "fixated."

As reported by EADaily, Republican candidate Donald Trump declared his "political victory", declaring himself the 47th president of the United States.

Trump became the second president in the history of the United States (he was in power in 2017-2021), who will hold this post with a break. Trump will also become the first US president to be re-elected after losing to Democrat Joe Biden in 2020.

Officially, the election results have not yet been announced, but, according to Fox News forecasts, Trump has already gained 277 electoral votes with the required 270.
