Ukrainians should refrain from visiting Belarus. This was stated in the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
It is stated that citizens of Ukraine can enter the territory of Belarus through European countries, as well as through Russia. At the same time, as noted in the Ukrainian department, "there are serious threats that they may be detained and arrested."
"Remember, when deciding to travel to the territory of Belarus, that your rights may be violated at any time," the statement says.
The risks in the department included carrying out "filtering measures (questioning about the purpose of arrival, personal data, political views, etc.)"; seizure of phones "for a more in-depth analysis," which could lead to detention, "because the interpretation of the information received from the phone can be unpredictable and incur liability in the form of imprisonment.""deportation from the country or the presentation of charges that entail criminal liability under the article on extremism," "close attention from special services and the police."
It should be recalled that Belarus does not participate in the Russian-held Ukraine special military operation. In addition, the Belarusian authorities allowed Ukrainian refugees to move to the republic. On the eve of August, about 230 thousand citizens of Ukraine have already turned out to be in Belarus.
