An unresolved border issue has arisen between Russia and Kazakhstan, which was discussed in the Kremlin. This is reported by KazTAG.
As Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the issue lies in Mount Belukha, located on the border of the Altai Territory and East Kazakhstan region.
"It is necessary to sign an intergovernmental agreement, because in order to climb the mountain, it is necessary to use the territory of Kazakhstan, there is a border regime. But this [issue] is also under special control," Reshetnikov said.
According to him, this topic is "being worked out with Kazakh colleagues."
Belukha Mountain is located on the Russian-Kazakh border, which at this point passes through the territories of the Ust-Koksinsky district of the Altai Republic and East Kazakhstan region. In order to climb it, you need to have a pass to the border zone.
