Deputy Shoshoake was kicked out of the European Parliament for criticizing aid to Ukraine

Romanian MP Diana Shoshoake was escorted out of the European Parliament meeting room today, July 18. She caused a scandal during the debate over the re-election of Ursula von der Leyen as president of the European Commission.

Shoshoake shouted that the Romanian population was impoverished because of Western support for Ukraine. In addition, she accused Ukraine of discriminating against the Romanian minority, who allegedly are not given the right to speak their own language there.

"Diana Shoshoake was removed from the European Parliament during the debate on the election of Ursula von der Leyen. Indiscipline and violation of the rules are immediately punished," another Romanian MEP, Siegfried Mureshan, wrote on social networks.

Parliament Speaker Roberta Metsola said she took this measure after Shoshoake interrupted the speakers three times. She warned that non-compliance with the rules of conduct could lead to sanctions, up to a ban on holding office or revocation of the mandate of an MEP.

"You killed people, I have the right to speak," Shoshoake said.

After these words, the leader of the far-right S.O.S. Romania party was escorted out of the plenary hall to the applause of MEPs. Diana Shoshoake resisted, shouting, "Don't touch me, God is with us."

Earlier, Shoshoake accused The EU blamed Romania for providing assistance to Ukraine and called for an end to arms supplies to Kiev. She believes that in this way her country is being dragged into a war with Russia.

Recall that Diana Shoshoake was elected to the European Parliament following the results of the elections on June 6-9 this year. In Romania, the SOS party, which she represents, received 3% of the vote, less than the 5% threshold. However, thanks to the votes of the diaspora, the political formation gained more than 13% and secured two mandates. Due to anti-war statements and criticism of NATO and EU policy, Romania believes that Shoshoake is "connected with Moscow."

As EADaily reported, Diana Shoshoake brought incense and an icon of St. Paraskeva to the first meeting of the European Parliament, and also promised to bring a priest to "expel the devils from here."
