The Crimean government has proposed an initiative to impose a visa-free regime for foreign citizens who come to the country for medical treatment, Kommersant daily reports citing Sergey Strelbitsky, aide of the regional head of administration.
According to the officials, foreigners will be able to spend 30 days in Russia without a visa. Besides, they are offered to be issued medical visas.
This is according to Strelbitsky to evade impact of the sanctions and support the travel industry.
As EADaily reported earlier, the peninsula hopes to host more than 6 mn tourists thanks to opening of a new airport and the Crimean Bridge. However, opening of Egypt and high prices can make the tourist flow decrease.
