Aleksey Kudrin, head of Center for Strategic Research, former minister of finance of Russia, has agreed to be nominated for head of Russian Audit Chamber by Yedinaya Rossia Party, according to TASS.
The faction of Yedinaya Rossia Party will nominate Kudrin on May 15.
It was reported earlier that State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced consultations with parliamentary parties on candidature of Audit Chamber head. Faction of Communist Party of the Russian Federation has nominated MP Yuri Sinelschikov for that post, whereas Just Russia Party suggests Anatoly Aksakov, head of State Duma Committee for Financial Market. As for the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, it has nominated Maxim Rokhmistrov, an auditor at Russian Audit Chamber.
