The problem of Transnistrian vehicles participating in the international road traffic has been discussed by the Transnistria-Moldova expert (work) groups on transport and road construction development issues at a meeting with the participation of representatives for political affairs Vitaliy Ignatiev and Kristina Lesnik, the Transnistrian foreign ministry’s press office informs.
The most attention was focused on discussing vehicle license plates. The sides also had a discussion on technical aspects of a final compromise.
A decision was made to continue active discussions of a mechanism involving Transnistrian vehicles in the international road traffic movement. Proponents of political affairs "have come to the understanding to prolonging the period for mechanism to be adopted for the final solution of the problem."
President of Moldova Igor Dodon has said that the transport registered in Transnistria should have special car license plates to be moving in some neighboring states.
