All the units of the DPR Defense Ministry are preparing for a large-scale attack by Ukraine’s Armed Forces. The civil and military facilities received a message on possible airstrikes today, on August 12, from the Republic’s leadership, CassadNews reports citing its sources at the DPR Defense Ministry.
The message tells about possible breach of the Minsk Agreements and intensification of the military actions with use of heavy weapons, the news agency reports publishing the newsfeed of today’s developments in Donetsk:
1:50pm - By data of our source from the military forces in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR): “We move heaven and earth. Our forces are on full combat alert. The curfew starts at 9:00pm. We have been told to pick up everyone, even generals, unless they have special cards. Weaponry is rushing about in the city…”
2:14pm - In Gorlovka, all the units are on full alert on their positions.
3:35pm - Khartsyzk, Zuhres and Ilovaisk received messages: “Prepare bomb shelters immediately.”
3:55pm - Everyone is sent home from work in Donetsk.
Earlier EADaily reported that Denis Pushilin, the head of the Delegation of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) to the Contact Group, said large-scale military actions might break out at any moment today. He said they shell 150-180 times within a day during large-scale military actions. In the course of the ceasefire, they shelled up to 30 times a day. During the past days, the number of ceasefire breaches has increased to 60-80.
