Ukraine is ready for five ceasefire options. This was stated by the official representative of the country's Foreign Ministry Georgy Tikhy.
Firstly, according to him, Kiev is ready for a complete and unconditional ceasefire, but Russia's consent is required to start a truce.
Two more options concern the Black Sea. They are being developed by Turkey and Egypt with the participation of Ukraine.
The fourth format of the truce, concerning the topic of food security in the Black Sea and the cessation of strikes on the energy sector, was proposed by India.
The fifth direction is an energy truce with the participation of the United States, which was discussed by Vladimir Zelensky and Donald Trump during the last meeting.
Kiev is ready to work on all these formats, and diplomats have already prepared possible solutions and now Moscow's steps are expected, added Tikhy.
As reported by EADaily, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the Primakov Readings international scientific and expert forum that Moscow would not agree to a cease-fire on Ukraine for the sake of resuming negotiations. "We are told: "Let's have a ceasefire along the line of contact, and then negotiations." No, we have already done this when we agreed in Istanbul, initialed and, as a gesture of goodwill, stopped firing and even... withdrew units from Kiev," the minister said.
He noted that Russia is ready for negotiations, but "it will not allow you to cheat with yourself." "Although sometimes we are naive people, we may once again be misled by our simplicity, but we are on special alert now," the Russian Foreign minister added.
