Bailiffs forcibly recover more than 25 billion rubles from Euroclear Bank. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the materials of the FSSP.

Since October 2024, 47 enforcement proceedings have been initiated against the company to collect this amount. The basis was the writ of execution and orders issued by the Arbitration Courts of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Tatarstan.

As reported by EADaily, the Moscow Arbitration Court on May 15 fully satisfied the claim of the Central Bank to Euroclear, collecting losses in seven currencies from the defendant in the total amount of about 200 billion euros. Five days later, the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal on the claim of First Management Company JSC demanded about 32 billion rubles more from the Belgian Euroclear Bank.

It should be noted that the own tangible and operational assets of the Belgian depository Euroclear in Russia are extremely insignificant and virtually non-existent. The organization has no subsidiaries, real estate or large commercial offices in Russia. However, in the Russian financial infrastructure there are multibillion-dollar client funds and blocked securities, the legal holder of which is Euroclear Bank. The official total amount of funds on all Russian accounts of type "C" (which includes funds not only from Euroclear, but also from Clearstream, as well as other non-residents) is estimated in the range from 700 billion to more than 1.5 trillion rubles.
