A new anti-aircraft interceptor drone called Goose was presented at the Equipment exhibition in Moscow. The device is designed to combat enemy drones. Details are provided by the Izvestia edition.
The Goose operates at a frequency of 500 megahertz and is capable of performing tasks at an altitude of up to three kilometers. The flight range is eight kilometers, and the maximum speed is 175 km/h. The time spent in the air is up to 70 minutes. The drone is equipped with four electric motors with screws.
The interceptor can destroy targets in two ways — with a direct aerial ram or with the help of a warhead. If necessary, the device is equipped with a VOG-25 fragmentation grenade, effective against aircraft-type drones. The base shot of the VOG-25 contains 48 grams of explosives. This solution allows you to hit targets without a direct collision, reducing the risk of damage to the interceptor itself.
EADaily also previously informed that Russia was ahead of its competitors in an important area of combat technology.
