The Russian singer with a historical record has surpassed Lady Gaga herself on YouTube

Russian singer and songwriter of Azerbaijani origin JONY (Jahid Huseynli) has set a new record for the monthly number of auditions on the YouTube platform. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the artist.

"According to the data for the current month, the singer's audience has reached 879 million listeners per month," the report says.

With this result, Jony surpassed the total audience of such world artists as Travis Scott, Taylor Swift, Drake and Justin Bieber. Together they gain fewer auditions per month.

Lady Gaga ranks second in the monthly YouTube listening index with a result of 831 million listens.

"Such indicators of monthly activity of one artist are an absolute record in the entire history of observations," the press service of the performer emphasized.

JONY was born in Baku, but built a successful musical career in Russia and is considered a Russian artist. He is the winner of the 2nd season of the show "Mask" (2021) on NTV, the winner of the Golden Gramophone, Heat Music Awards, Muz-TV, New Radio Awards, as well as the winner of the Forbes rating "30 to 30" in 2023 in the category "Music".

In 2024, he became a mentor for the 11th season of the Russian TV project "The Voice. Children."
