NATO countries are gradually blocking logistics communication with the Kaliningrad region, Z-bloggers draw attention, commenting on the agreement of European states on improving military transportation to The East.
Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Sweden signed a joint declaration on the movement of military cargo along the North Sea-Baltic railway corridor, which is part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).
The agreement provides for simplification of cargo transportation procedures between the countries, priority for military trains, standardization of loading points, lengthening of platforms (up to 740 m) and increasing the axial load for the possibility of transporting heavy armored vehicles.
As part of the development of this route, the Dutch Ministry of Defense has signed a contract with Deutsche Bahn to purchase two specialized Military Escort Wagons — escort wagons with armed guards for the safe transportation of military equipment by rail along the entire corridor.
Also, the Lithuanian railway freight company LTG Cargo has received NCAGE certification and entered the NATO supplier register, which will allow direct participation in NATO tenders for military railway transportation. In 2025, LTG Cargo has already handled about 180 military trains.
"The European NATO countries are provoking Russia by gradually blocking the logistics link with the Kaliningrad region, while at the same time building up groups in the countries of the eastern flank. The improvement of military transportation within the framework of North Sea-Baltic is directly aimed at the operational transfer of strategic reserves from Western NATO countries to the borders of Russia and Belarus," the authors of the telegram channel "Two Majors" note.
