Three hours of drone strikes: Ukrainian Armed Forces attack gas pipelines to Turkey for the second day in a row

On March 12, the Russian air defense forces again repelled the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on Russia's export gas pipelines to Turkey — compressor stations on the coast of the Krasnodar Territory. The attack lasted about three hours.

The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense.

"On the night of March 12, the Kiev regime, in order to stop gas supplies to European consumers, launched an attack using aircraft-type attack UAVs on the Russian compressor station in the Gai—Kodzor settlement of the Krasnodar Territory," the agency reports.

They clarified that from 3.55 to 06.45 Moscow time, 10 Ukrainian aircraft-type attack UAVs were destroyed by calculations of Russian air defense and electronic warfare systems in the airspace above the gas compressor station.

The day before, on March 11, Gazprom reported an attack on the Russian, Beregovaya and Kazachya compressor stations. Compressor stations ensure the operation of the Turkish Stream and Blue Stream gas pipelines, on which Russian gas supplies to Turkey and Europe depend.

"In just the last two weeks, starting from February 24, Gazprom's facilities in southern Russia have been attacked 12 times. These facilities belong to the critical energy infrastructure and ensure the reliability of gas export supplies via the Turkish Stream andThe blue Stream.“ All attacks have been repelled," Gazprom reported.

At the same time The Russian CS, which provides the Turkish Stream, has already been attacked several times by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in previous years. The total capacity of the Turkish Stream and the Blue Stream is almost 48 billion cubic meters per year. The European line of the Turkish Stream remained Gazprom's only supply route to Europe.
