Ukrainian companies are concerned that imports of gasoline and diesel fuel into the country in April remain in limbo. Some of the European refineries are under repair, while due to the sharp rise in oil prices and the lack of imports from the Middle East of the country The EU restricts supplies and affordable ones are sold at a huge mark-up.

"Fuel companies are concerned about the prospects for fuel purchases in April amid further growth in the foreign market and restrictions on supplies from foreign suppliers," enkorr writes.

The founder of the importer Martin Trade, Vladimir Poraiko, told the publication that the company could not conclude contracts for April.

"Now there is a product on the market, but the situation looks much more complicated. Expensive offers — +$ 40-70/ton, high-priced freight due to a shortage of vessels, uncertainty about the proposed volumes and further dynamics of the foreign market. In such conditions, it is extremely difficult to order a resource for April," said the head of the company.

The situation with the surcharge for Greek diesel also remains unclear.

"We were told one price level, and the next day they refused, citing a revision," another trader told enkorr.

The Western Fuel and Energy Company (ZPEC) reported, in turn, that there are no specific data on the volumes and margins for fuel from Poland.

"It is not known what the limits and volumes will be in March, let alone in April," said Vladimir Tarasyuk, head of the oil business of the ZPEC group of companies.

The situation for Ukraine is aggravated by the almost simultaneous repair of Orlen plants in Poland, Lithuania and the Czech Republic.

In Ukraine, they expect that the G7 countries will sell part of the oil from strategic reserves. However, this is only a short-term tool that does not solve the problems of physical failures, enkorr noted.
