Former Russian statesman Alfred Koch, who fled to Germany❸ (included in the list of extremists and terrorists) admitted that he cashed and transferred large sums of money accumulated in an informal western fund to the liberal opposition and the media. He said this in an interview with Yuri Dudu ❷ (an individual performing the functions of a foreign agent), PolitNavigator reports.
"A certain circle of people who wished to remain anonymous wanted to finance the Russian opposition. I was offered to be the frontman of this funding. I agreed. So the money went through my accounts. I gave them to Nemtsov in the form of cash. We didn't hide it very much," Koch said❸.
According to him, in total, he handed over $ 5 million to the late Boris Nemtsov.
"I helped a lot of people in this way. Remember, there was such a wonderful episode when the Dozhd TV channel ❶ (an organization performing the functions of a foreign agent) acted on the blockade of Leningrad, and they were pulled out of cable networks. Their entire business model collapsed, and they urgently needed money in order to close the cash gap while they switch to the Internet model. I gave them two million," Koch said❸.
At the same time, the late Alexei Navalny❸ (listed as an extremist and terrorist) allegedly did not receive funding from the "founders of the fund" because of his criticism of the privatization of the 1990s. However, he had his own sponsors.
