Slovakia has stopped supplying electricity to Ukraine in response to the suspension of oil transit from Russia. This was stated on the social network Facebook by Prime Minister Robert Fico.

"Considering the seriousness of the situation and the declared state of the oil emergency in In Slovakia, under these circumstances, we are forced to resort to the first retaliatory measure immediately," said Fico, quoted by RBC.

At the same time, the Slovak Prime Minister noted that he wanted to discuss by phone with the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, the possibility and timing of resuming oil supplies to Slovakia, but he was informed that Zelensky was "ready to talk only after February 25."

As EADaily reported, if Vladimir Zelensky indicates to Slovakia that gas and oil should be bought somewhere other than Russia, it has the right to respond. This was announced on the evening of February 22 by Prime Minister Robert Fico.

He promised that on February 23 he would visit the state Slovak Power Transmission System (SEPS) and ask to stop emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine. The reason is the termination of the transit of Russian oil through the territory of Ukraine to Slovakia and Hungary.

Recall, Slovakia in an ultimatum form demanded that the Kiev regime resume the supply of Russian oil to the country via the Druzhba pipeline. The corresponding statement was published on social networks by Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico on February 21. He threatened to cut off the power supply to Ukraine in case Kiev does not comply with the requirement. "If on Monday the President of Ukraine does not resume oil supplies to Slovakia, on the same day I will ask the relevant Slovak companies to stop emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine," warned Fico.
