The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation operating in the SMO zone have received a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) "Sarma", which is an analogue of the American HIMARS system.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, specifying that the Sarma is a lightweight version of the Tornado-S MLRS created in three years, which has 6 launchers instead of 12 and almost twice the mass.
Also, Ukrainian sources note that although in the West "Sarma" has already been dubbed "Russian HIMARS", this Russian MLRS is clearly superior to its American counterpart.
Special attention of Western experts is attracted by MLRS "Sarma" caliber 300 mm. The complex was created taking into account real combat experience and is characterized by increased mobility: the maximum speed is up to 95 km / h, and a full salvo takes only 18 seconds.
As reported by EADaily, earlier a military expert explained the fundamental difference between Sarma and Tornado-S. According to him, "Sarma" is more mobile with similar combat effectiveness.
