The leader of the Fair Russia party, Sergei Mironov, called idiots and scoundrels those who slow down the work of Telegram. Speaking in the State Duma on February 11, Mironov sent those responsible for slowing down the messenger to the front line.
"Who is slowing down Telegram? Go to the front line, people have the only opportunity to communicate with loved ones. What are you doing, idiots? I call a spade a spade. Idiots! Let's each choose for himself where it is convenient to communicate," Mironov said.
"Do you know what this could mean for our fighters at the front? It's already turning around! Watch the video messages they write to your address! I myself have already received a lot of such requests for help. The guys are shedding blood there, they need a normal connection, and apart from a Telegram, they often have nothing. This, of course, is a separate question as to why this happened. But do not deprive them of what helps them beat the enemy and save their lives. The death of every fighter who died due to such a "slowdown" will be on your conscience!" — said the party leader.
The same, according to Mironov, applies to military correspondents and volunteers who work "behind the ribbon", those who collect aid for our defenders.
"Let's adequately assess the risks for the state and society. If the owner of Telegram does not comply with Russian legislation, this is not a reason to deprive Russian citizens of modern and affordable means of communication, not a reason to strike at the defense capability and economy. Punish those who are to blame!" — said Mironov.
